I wanted to share my experience with this Meridian DOC office. I scheduled an appointment with Dr Shevlin (referred to me by my husband after successful shoulder surgery) for shoulder pain. I checked in at 1:00 for a 1:15 appointment and I filled out paperwork. By 1:10 I was in a room and then immediately taken for an X-ray. The PA then came in and gave me the positive results from my x-ray, did some shoulder movements/tests on me and told me how to proceed with my exercises at the gym. What a pleasant experience. I had a very disappointing experience with Direct Orthopedic Care. I came in hoping for professional orthopedic care, but instead I was met with questionable billing practices and an inaccurate diagnosis that delayed my sons recovery. Not only was I charged for items and services that were never explained or medically justified, but when I sought a second opinion elsewhere, I learned that my sons injury had been completely misdiagnosed. I have been there for a few different things over the past 5 months. Great care, information, technicians receptionist and doctors. Excellent experience from the first time I hobbled in the door.
I walked in to DOC in Meridian on Magic View Drive, Received immediate professional care in a pleasant and caring enviroment. Excellent place to go for knowledgeable, viable care. Thanks DOC
I recently had X-rays for a wrist and thumb injury. Following X-ray I was prescribed a thumb spica splint. That splint is LESS THAN $30 on Amazon. DOC billed me $313 for that splint. When I called DOC, they said my insurance allows this amount. When I explained it still isn’t ethical or right to bill me $313 for a $30 splint even if insurance allows it. They just said, take it up with your insurance. No consideration for ethical billing. Sad how greedy they are.
