Not only is it an amazing bakery but they have unique & delicious breakfast sandwiches too. Brought my friend from out of a town here a few months ago and she brings up how good her sandwich was all the time.
We ordered an assortment of pies, donuts, and a small wedding cake for our October wedding. Everything was delicious and perfectly matched our Fall themed wedding. Joan was extremely helpful answering my numerous emails about our order. I was very pleased when I saw everything all together on the dessert table at our reception.
Excellent German bakery in a wonderful neighborhood. My Oma would walk there with my father when he was a little boy. I go every Christmas to get my Stollen.
I use to take a walk to Lincoln and belmont shopping area whn my children were small. We would share cookies and a loaf of bread for our lunch.
I recently hosted a bridal shower and ordered cupcakes, petit fours and decorative cookies. Not only did everything look beautiful, it tasted wonderful! My guests all raved over the desserts. Thank you Dinkel's!
The German community's favorite bakery in the 1950's. So happy it remains a favorite of so many in Chicago and those of us who reside far away from our roots.
