Have not visited Dr Titova in Auburn yet but she was my Rheumatologist in Gig Harbor for many years. I am not too keen on my new doctor in Gig Harbor so I am considering driving to Auburn (from Allyn) to see her again. She is terrific. Highly recommended.
Excellent
Dr. Tatova took time to thoroughly review my medical history and carefully examine. She listened and she educated during our encounter. Her diligence led to the diagnosis of a problem I'm been frustrated with for years. I am so relieved! She methodically laid out the treatment plan, explaining the indication for each thing as we went. She discussed risks and benefits, prognosis, and let me know other diagnosis that would be considered should the treatment plan be less effective than hoped. Oh if all providers were as thought... read more
I have been seeing Dr. Titova for several years since my previous rheumatologist retired. She is always kind and never rushes my appointments. She keeps me on top of my testing.
My PCP referred me to her for sudden worsening of osteoporosis on dexascan. Dr. Titova didn't believe the results, saying someone must have made an error in the settings or interpretation of the report, saying "No one could have that significant of change in a 2 year period, even with 'active osteoporosis." To be "cautious", she just had a repeat scan done in 1 year instead of 2 years. She was shocked to find that scan even worse! I transferred care to MultiCare and receive much better care.
So a referral from my PCP was sent to Dr. Titova's office, and her office defers seeing me as a patient because they don't think I have what I'm being referred for. What the actual heck? I'm glad I had an inclination prior to this call (thanks to poor reviews of Dr. Titova) to get a referral sent elsewhere. I was looking forward to seeing her because she was recommended by friends, but I'm so glad I dodged a bullet. I will not be recommending this doctor to anyone.
Dr. Titova took a little time to warm up to but she is a very compassionate and knowledgeable physician. She has always been available when emergencies have come up and acted on them quickly and professionally. There have been many times when I have come to her with a problem that I have been seen by several doctors for (and given the run around) and she has gone well beyond the call of duty to help me find the answers or the right physician for the problem that I am having. She is a great MD
I haven't seen Dr. Titova for a number of years, I previously seen her in Gig Harbor, where she worked once a week. She was verbally abusive to me on several occasions, &, when I mentioned another physician, she referred to him as a "crazy, stupid old man" & & then said even worse things, when I related to her the other doctor's opinions that were different than hers. . As the doctor whom she was disparaging was only about 35, I decided which doctor was "crazy and stupi,." & never went back.
This doctor has completely shattered my faith in our health care system. She has the poorest follow up of any physician that I have ever seen. She seems to take personal offense at questions asked as if she is being challenged. I have seen her flip flop on the approach to my care, depending on if the direction is her idea or not. She absolutely scares me.
