Delicious dumplings! Very juicy and tasty little things :) It's a pretty fancy looking place compared to its LA restaurants, but none the less, as delicious. The wait time isn't too bad, but a reservation gets you in quicker

Great food but the service was ok. It was nothing over the top. The server kept asking us how long we would take to finish our food so that they could get the dessert. We were asked not once but 4 times in 15 minutes. It made the whole experience very rushed up. Food was amazing!

The food did not disappoint! But! The portions here are *tiny* ~ expect to order again midway through your meal so you don't leave hungry. Reservation process was smooth and we were seated immediately.

Din Tai Fung in Taiwan is Not Only an Amazing Experience BUT The Food is Very Superior. Here in Valley Fair Mall at this particular restaurant, even though one has to reserve at least A Month in Advance & no doubt is a good experience but the quality of the cuisine in Taiwan is Definitely Not what is served here. You will know that Right Away ONLY if you have eaten at Din Tai Fung in Taiwan. That is an entirely different matter:-)

Amazing food, great prices, so so service. Had the same experience where we had a reservations. Month in advance but still had to wait 30 min for our table. Normally I'd just go to the bar at that point, but, no, that's not allowed (what's the point of having a bar then??!?!?) so we just stood outside... Once we got in it was much better though, our server was nice and the food was amazing! Was our second time at DTF and it was even better than I remembered.

Waiting in line even have a reservation one month ago, no water on the table after food ordering for 15 minutes... The hot food coming before the cold appetizer, the steam dumpling serves one basket at time, one dish was never been ordered, we have to ask or tell the waiters what to do... Over all, the food is just ok, but the service didn't meet my expectations.. I'm disappointed and will not come back here again!! with Victor Lee,Alvis Lee,Christina Lee,Kaitlin Lee.

Went there on the second day after grand opening. Food and service are way better than I expected!! The taste of XLB does not 100% resemble that in Taiwan, but is still the best I've ever had in Bay Area; The fish dumplings, Veg & pork dumplings taste even better than what I had in Taiwan! :) All other dishes are excellent. Servers are super nice and well-trained. Totally worths the time of waiting! Such a happy & satisfactory dinner for us. :)
