Dr. Laverty has been my neurologist for about 10 years she's very knowledgeable about my specific condition(Duchenne muscular dystrophy) what some may have perceived as being condescending is just her trying make sure her patients understand what is going on rather than just throwing around words you may not understand. Every time I see her she treats me with respect and makes sure to answer all of my questions.
Having hoped for therapies for mild cognitive impairment symptoms for stages 1-2 AD for my cognitive decline a LP was taken and CSF came back borderline AD. Dr. Yuan downplayed the LP findings. My wife & I wondering why, asked what stage she diagnoses AD? Dr. Yuan replied, “Not until stage 3.” I had 2nd opinion done at Washington Univ. Barnes Hospital Neurology in St. Louis, MO. My diagnosis was mild cognitive impairment & blood work showed both genetic markers from APO4E test. Family medical history AD Fraternal side - 1 un... read more
Still seeing her annually. Would not answer direct questions (e.g., What stage?) and was difficult when I asked for referral to a clinic 10 min from my home instead of 45 min daily for 35 radiation treatments. Sitting on my cancer was extremely painful at the time, and i finally had to say i would NOT get Tx if i had to drive so far. After local treatment with a gentle and caring oncologist, I returned for a check. Dr. S let a marvelous Fellow examine me, but came in to ask 'How long did it take before the pain went away?' i... read more
Dr Raisinghani seems to be a qualified heart specialist and I trust his medical skills, but he is sometimes grumpy in appointments, as if I’ve irritated him. I’m reluctant to say anything. You can forget about any communication outside of your appointment. For example, questions about serious side effects of medications, or an any communication are never answered. I’ve tried to contact him, his nurse, his office, the UCSD helpline and there is zero response. As if he doesn’t exist.
It's unfortunate when someone is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. What is worse is having to put your trust in someone who doesn't care for you or your condition. We saw Dr Saenze from 2023 to 2024 when my wife had Ovarian cancer. At every interaction, she came in with what felt like a script she had memorized, often times not relating to the test results we would receive. When asked specific questions, she would not answer but simply go back to a script of what she wanted to communicate. For example, Me: 'Have the tumors grow... read more
First of all, Dr. Afshari has an excellent team who help you since the very moment you get to the consulting rooms. She showed to be an incredible person, showing a lot of kindness and attention to her patients; she answered the questions and doubts in a very simple way that you get to understand perfectly the situation you are in, and not think that your eye condition is some kind of rocket science.
Dr. Laverty has been my doctor for over two years. Her expertise, coupled with her consistently courteous and insightful approach, instills great confidence in her ability to provide comprehensive and up-to-date care. She is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever had.
I found him to be rude and unhelpful. I had multiple PVCs on the EKG they took while I was in his office, in addition to worrying episodes outside his office. He asked if I felt the PVCs and I said yes, but he wrote in the chart that I seemed to be unaware of them??? He also told me people my age frequently have palpitations, which he ignores unless there is firm evidence of a problem, coupled with the patient being aware of the problem. That made sense but since he lied about my being aware of the PVCs, it leaves me up a cr... read more
This Dr. lacks bed side manners. She spent very little time with me… When I asked her a question, her response was your problem is psychosomatic and left.
