the staff were all great, I had an endoscopy back in February. what's not great is their billing practice. after paying around $1k back between February and March I had a zero balance on my account. all my eobs on my insurance were paid. I thought I was good to go, until yesterday (8 months later) when I get another bill for $900. it's the end of the year, I've had other medical and dental procedures come up that took up all of my FSA. so they'll get paid when they get paid, but this is not how you run a company. Dr. Nadir and the team at Castle Hills SurgiCare were phenomenal! That includes Lisa the receptionist, who was nice and friendly upon my arrival, Anesthesiologist, Dr. Khan whom I felt at ease with after meeting him and the anesthesia assistant; Nurse Lilly who kindly welcomed and assisted me in preparing for the procedure and Nurse Kaitlin was very helpful after the procedure was completed and assured that I was comfortable while waiting for the discharge. Avoid DHAT! Dr. Nadir is a quack. He put me on a medicine that did nothing. After several weeks of no improvement, he increased the dose, even though the side effects made me miserable. My new GI at UTSW was shocked and said he had never heard of this medicine ever being used to treat my condition before. He also left me waiting for over 2 hours in the lobby one morning because he "had an emergency". If it's that big of an emergency, then his office needs to call and cancel.
