Dick's has great customer service! You are always greeted when you enter the store, and there are plenty of consistently pleasant sales associates in every department to assist you. The prices are reasonable with a good selection to choose from in every department.

I went to Dick's to get new running shoes. I had to track down a sales person, who told me, yeah, the shoes are under the display help yourself. REALLY?? I had questions. Lei found a cute pair of boots on sale, so I did make a purchase. I asked for the manager, I told him what happened and in the mean time the girl that said that walks up. The manager asks me who the employee was and I said her, and pointed to her. She started arguing with me, well the shoes are right there, so get them. The manager cuts her off and says sorry, just like that and walks away. I pay for Lei's stuff, then stop and tell him, BTW, the proper response was, sorry, and let's make this right, how can I help you. Now I am going across the street, literally, to Sports Authority and giving the my $150! Dick's sporting goods does not want my business!
