On November 29, 2017 a $50 gift card was purchased for use at Disk's Restaurant and Bar located at 10808 Wicker Avenue (U.S. 41) St. John Indiana 46303. On Mother's Day in May (May 13?) we went to use the card when we went there for brunch. The restaurant manager, Paul Cassiani, informed us that because the restaurant is under new management it will not honor the gift cards. Our son gave us a $50 gift card to Dick's for Christmas. We went to use it tonight and were told that the restaurant has a new owner and they will not honor it. The card was sold in December and they almost immediately closed to remodel. We were finally able to redeem our gift and refused, even though the name of the restaurant is still DICK'S. This is ridiculous! We told our server to let the owner know that we live in St. John and eat out regularly. We will not be back to Dick's, Prime, or Theo's. And we plan to pass the w... read more
The food was amazing and so was the staff! I definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t been since the change in ownership.
My wife and I had dinner there last Thursday under the new management. The interior has been painted and is pleasant. Nice to have dinner and be able to have a conversation as it was fairly quiet in the dining room. The menu was varied and offered many choices. Good mixed drinks and reasonably priced. Alyssa was a wonderful waitress, the food was wonderful, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
The new Dick's is phenomenal! Love the remodel inside, great ambiance and service. Our food was excellent! My husband and I are foodies, and can be very critical. I ordered the shrimp & scallop risotto which was the special Saturday and held my breath...It blew me away...I told them it was better than what I had at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant. That should go on the regular menu. You will not be disappointed!
After calling ahead and being told gift cards would be honered as long as sign was still Dicks was quite disappointed to find that was not true ... no gift cards were accepted and sign is still up weeks later!
RecommendedThe food here is absolutely great. Kind of pricey but you get what you pay for. Our waitress was wonderful!! We will be back!
Pretty good serving limited menu. Service was ok. Steak delicious. Somewhat pricey.
