The mac and cheese and the big barbecue sandwiches are my favorite! They're always really friendly whenever you walk in the store and the owner is really professional and sociable!
The meat was tender and good, but no bbq sauce on it and the jalapeño beans taste like they opened a can of pinto beans
This is the best and most authentic southern barbecue in Duluth (or likely for MANY miles around). You cannot go wrong with the pulled pork or the brisket, there is a choice of barbecue sauces (original, sweet, or spicy ... I love the spicy), delicious sides (I even tried and liked for the very first time the fried okra!). Good food, but be careful when paying for your order. We've had to correct the cashiers almost every time we've gone. They don't know what the daily specials are - Especially on Sundays. One would think they forget that kid meals are free on purpose. And if you have a coupon watch out! Handed them our free drink coupon, they handed us a cup and rang up a drink on our order. Love the food, but starting to reconsider stopping at the Hermantown location, cause they can't seem to get it right.

I was there for lunch Wednesday and ordered the half rack to enjoy. First bite, amazing. Second bite I was crunching on something. I spit it out and it was a white tendon. All through the rack was a white, disgusting tendon. I picked what I could out of the meat but it wasn't enjoyable. The sides were super. The mashed potato casserole and green beans with bacon. I might try again but I won't get ribs!
I ordered a fairly big order online tonight, and when I got there the place was already pretty busy. The crew got my food quickly and seemed to be taking the rush really well. The food was REALLY good. Honestly a lot better than a different location that I used to go to. I definitely will go again. Thanks guys!
