My sister and I went to Dickey’s in Slidell just a few moments ago and it was absolutely fantastic!! The Pit Master, James, was a profound cook and was especially helpful!! The cashier, Carrie, was a complete doll and endearingly sweet!! Food and service were equally phenomenal and I’m most certainly going to be coming back!
So it makes me sad to have to only give three stars. During the day, you guys knock it out of the park. At night, not so much. We ordered Monday evening and it was lacking. Half of the sides weren't in our order and the ones we did get were not great. I am NEVER hungry after we eat Dickies but this time was awful. The chopped brisket was great though! This keeps happening in the evening so I hope it gets better. It's the third time in a row at night of it being off. �

This is the dirtiest place I have ever ate at. They were out of beef before closing, self serve BBQ sauce containers were completely emptied and the left over sauces were all tried up all in the pan. Yes all the sauces were empty!! The small containers to put your sauces into had BBQ dropping all over them plus it was used as a trash can. The ice cream machine handle is broke, leaking ice cream all on the bottom rack... food was ice cold. The food is awesome. I frequent at least once a week BUT seriously it’s freaking dirty in here!!! I just ordered online to pickup, my food was just sitting out and the cashier had to rummage through my box and touch my roll to see if it was even my order. I love this place but please get it clean and tell people not to touch your food! I had my son who was climbing all over me so I didn’t ask for another roll. Food is amazing ! I’ve came here to eat a couple times already this week & y’all do not disappoint ! Always get the pulled pork big sandwich & mac n cheese w/okra ! Flavors are awesome! It’s so filling I can never fully finish my food ! This is deff on my #1 fav place to have lunch !� Also wanted to point out that Korey is always the best ! Helped me figure out the menu & all the best things to get the first time I came here & he always still does ! Has great customer service & very sweet & polite & helpful !
First time eating there and the food was great. Friendly employees and the place was clean. Don't forget the free soft serve ice cream. I'll be back.

Every time i come here, there is always a problem with my food. Its like they don't listen to what you order. I asked for chopped brisket, i get sliced. Yesterday, food was very dry. Chicken was very hard. Employees didn't make the experience any nicer. Counters were dirty dirty.
