Please beware of the service department staff damaging your Mercedes and not notifying you at all. I took my 2019 Mercedes to the Dick Dyer Mercedes service department after paying $3100 for services I drove off with a broken wiper blade in the rear and side swiped doorknob. It took three weeks to get my wiper blade fixed. Then, after getting in a heated useless argument with the service manager about damaging my vehicle's door knob, he agreed to repair the damages. Don't deal with them they tell you to leave a deposit and think about where you really want to purchase. I was told that I had 72 hours to decide. Afterwards I forfeit my deposit. Well after 36 hrs I changed my mind and the persons Neil tongue lash me and said I don't get my deposit back. I asked God to keep me humble. Finally afterwards the tongue lashing he said he would refund my money within 3-5 days which he did. Our policy at Dick Dyer & Associates is that when a customer leaves a partial payment on vehicle the transaction must be completed within 72 hours. The partial payment is a non refundable agreement to purchase the vehicle.
Horrible experience, my fiancés BRAND NEW 2021 GLC needed a new cylinder head after having it less than a year. Once dropped off for service, the service took over a month after being told it would be much shorter. Once we picked vehicle up, the windshield was cracked and we WERE NOT NOTIFIED (which is a HUGE safety hazard). we had to point it out to them in which they blamed the heat for cracking it WHILE it was in there care, and they messed the sensors up on the car, which is a even larger safety hazard. The customer had an aftermarket windsheild that was poorly installed causing the lower edge to be exposed. It was noted that the windsheild was cracked from a nick in the glass from poor installation. After the car sat in the sun and went though the carwash the crack spread rapidly. I arrived at the dealership on Friday, 27 May 2022. I test drove, walked through the vehicle, and I agreed to complete the purchase even with the paint flaw that I pointed out. I worked with the closing/finance person and I signed all the paperwork which included the proof that I had insurance and who my insurance provider was including policy number. Unfortunately according to our tag office, when we send title work to North Carolina it is their policy that we must include proof of insurance matching the vin number of the vehicle that was purchased. It is Dick Dyer's policy that we verify insurance to protect the customer and the lender if the vehicle is financed incase of an accident.
