Horrible food and service Mallu Cafe & Catering has horrible food and service. It tastes terrible! I know both North and South Indian cuisine very well, thank you very much.
Mallu Cafe is the Worst of the Worst! Mallu Cafe serves miserable tasting, leftover food made with cheap ingredients. It is heavy on the salt and stinky Hindu spices in a lame attempt to mask its poor quality, but nothing can cover up the awful flavor of garbage that tastes like it came from a can of dog food. I disbelieve the good reviews.
Horrible Food and Service! Mallu Cafe often serves stale, off-tasting leftovers, but falsely claims that all of their food is freshly prepared. Mallu Cafe's overpriced food usually tastes too bland or strong the few times that it is fresh. It does not matter if you are Indian or not, you can still distinguish between fresh and stale food. Mallu Is a Waste of Time! Mallu Cafe & Catering mainly serves leftovers in my experience. They are also rude and slow in the process. Mallu's food is improperly prepared and vastly overpriced. I am an actual consumer who has tried this dreary restaurant.
Bad Food and Service Mallu's food tastes worse than any other Indian food that I have tried. It is not fresh and they do not know how to cook it. Avoid Mallu's at all costs.

THE WORST TASTING INDIAN FOOD IN PHILADELPHIA! MALLU'S FOOD IS ROTTING GARBAGE! IT REALLY IS THAT BAD! Five-star reviews from the owner are irrelevant; they are all over the Internet. Read the one-star reviews from actual consumers. Mallu's service is nasty and slow, their food is rat vomit, and their prices are sky high. I like the folksy charm of Mallu's store, but I now have even less respect for their establishment because they post obviously phony reviews for themselves.
