I have loved this place all my life but it’s never been better than it is today. Thanks to new management that honors the classic Diamond but has refreshed the place with fresh produce and a friendly attitude, this Akron institution is more alive and popular than ever. Classic cocktails, local (and non-local) fish (Lake Perch is incredible), exceptional steaks and old favorites like the Diamond salad make this a must stop every trip back to Akron.
Always good, never a complaint. Jeannie was our waitress and she is great. A friend of mine said needs updated on the inside. Most people including myself do not want to see it updated. Love the nostalgic look and that's what makes it special. The food is always great. Would not change a thing.
Ask for the dressing on the side! Salad was drowning in Italian dressing! And ranch! Everything else was perfect from the Boston strip to the lobster tail!
Totally old-fashioned place. No Valet parking or fancy entrance. Just crazy good food and friendly atmosphere! Celebrated my son’s 18th birthday here. Everyone said they were the best steaks they had ever tasted. No credit cards so bring cash or a check (or they will send you the bill!). An Akron legend not to be missed.
