Waited over an hour for lab work. Will definitely not be back unless there are no other options
This lab used to be the best in the Valley. Now that HNL has taken it over, it is just as bad as other HNL locations. A common practice seems to be the understaffing of HNL labs. I checked in at 5:24 pm. It’s now 6:39 pm and I am still waiting because there are only 2 people working the lab. This has happened to me at two other HNL labs; hence the reason I started coming here. I have also submitted a complaint with LVHN because this is unacceptable.
I went to the diagnostic care center for 2 blood tests. It should have been quick and easy. The phlebotomists were more interested in talking to each other about random things and joking around than taking care of their patients. I saw that my phlebotomist did not get a tube for my CBC and mentioned my test includes a CBC and that was never run. I told him this was important and it was for surgery. Went for two tests, corrected them multiple times I'm not due to draw blood, ignored me six times when I said I have a urine sample to take, shoved me out the door without my original or scanned referral from either worker that I asked for the papers from. They said it's a 50+ minutes queue to come back into the room since I had my turn :-). In case you're wondering, I left them the urine sample. The phlebotomist Aminata with HNL Lab is unprofessional. She curses and blasts ghetto music throughout the clinic. She also inputted the incorrect test for me making me have to go back to a different lab.
