So, I had an interesting experience with Diablo Subaru. I took my car in to be inspected because it started making a concerning noise when I drove it. After inspecting my car, the Service Center folks tell me it's my radiator, and I need to get the entire assembly replaced for around $2,300. They also tell me they discovered a fuel leak that would cost $10,145 (!!!) to repair because they'd have to remove everything under the hood to address the leak. Courteous staff on the phone and great teamwork checking in to see if I have been helped from multiple staff at the service stations. Efren my rep was friendly and progressional, keeping me updated about my tire repairs from multiple nail punctures with videos of the findings. Due to shipment delays for the replacement tires my car was sitting at the shop for a week. But very glad Efren offered me a loaner car 25’ Forester while waiting. Waiting for over two years for parts to come in for a warranty repair. We've gone in person, emailed, and called persistently. They don't follow up or get it done. Calling corporate hardly makes any difference. But the automated sales emails and calls and mailers keep coming. They even want to buy back our car that they can't find the parts for. I keep hoping this will improve, but I'm not holding my breath.
It is well known that you pay more at the dealership service center, but more than double? Was shocked at a $2,700 quote for a 60k mile service but in a rush I figured that was what things cost nowadays. In addition, the sales rep wouldn’t give me the parts and labor breakdown and insisted it was broken down in the paperwork. Afterwards found out it was $1700 in labor.
