Just got off the phone with Kayla. Called and asked if Dr. Shoemaker was accepting new patients, was told yes. I saw Dr. Shoemaker in 2016. All my records have been updated, but then was told it's a specialist office I need a referral. I am a patient of Franciscan and have been for a very long time. All my records are in mychart. I was told by the doctor that I get an a1c paid for by my insurance every 6 months well come to find out they pay once a year so I got a $200 bill I have to pay because he misinformed me and there'll be nothing done about this. This is a prime situation that shows you that the hospital hides behind the church to steal from you.
