Loved the staff, music, and food, would live there if I could
This restaurant is over priced and over rated. The waitress was excellent and the chef interacting with customers creates a nice experience. But when you charge $95 for oxtails I dont want to hear hyper sexual music with the N word and other curses. They serve you in four courses and it almost seems like you don't have a choice but to accept it. The food is very salty and not worth the price. I've been trying to get reservations to this restaurant since September of 2025. For some reason or other I wasn't able to get in even with stalking the 28 day opening window. Finally! June 2026 I get a reservation for July 2026 for my husband and I. Traffic from Baltimore to DC was absolutely horrible this day, which was on a Saturday, and we ran 15 minutes behind even with leaving the house almost 90 minutes earlier. The food was more than edible, however, no spectacular moments. Service from our “captain” Rafael was great - warm, hospitable, knowledgeable, attentive. The food runners however: awkward, touched the tines of my fork with their hand to move it, grunting acknowledgements. The real kicker here was on the bill - I don’t mind dinner for 3 being $734.
