I asked if they could help to fix a diesel decarbonizer (DPF) on my Subaru Outback. (Diesel) Subaru Dealer quoted me $4500 so I thought I would get a second opinion from a private specialist DFR. I was told that they don’t want to torch it and if they were to do the job they would charge me around $8500 and was sent away and told to find someone else to do the job and sell the car as soon as you can. I was quite taken back from this poor attitude!

I brought my Forester for a head gasket problem (Nov 2024). Today, the car is running perfectly. Maca and his team fix my problem and took the time to explain everything they did and showed me all the parts changed. I travel 1h30 to get there everytime I need to check / service the car, but it worth the drive. I recommend DFR.

I’ve been servicing my Subaru at DFR for many years now , I have complete confidence and more importantly trust in the service DFR provides, if you own a Subaru , DFR is definitely the place to have it serviced or repairs done

Spoke to the guys at DFR Automotive (Macca) about a diesel Forester with issues for my step daughter. He advise me best to not have the diesel because it will cost a lot to fix it properly, Subaru don’t keep parts and will have reoccurring issues and we didn’t want to keep throwing money at it. We bought a Forester XT turbo instead. Runs great Best advice. 6 stars.
