Always a knowledgeable, friendly staff who are more than willing to answer all of my superfluous & often, naive questions pertaining to film photography and processing, in addition to being an extremely affordable place to get my film developed on a consistent, regular basis. Every time I go in for a question, Greg is always willing to give great advice and listen to me as I struggle with, what else do I need? Should I buy it, should I not buy it? Is this one the best option, what do you think? (I'm a Libra). Excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, and super cool cameras to look at. I could spend all day here. As I ease back into film, this is definitely my new favorite place! �
Not sure what made me think of it, but Dexter's camera was a big part of my youth as I loved taking pictures. They were the "go to" photo and equipment place for me. I long ago moved north, but am glad to know it remains as Ventura institution, even if not there downtown where I remember it. Love it, they still do film!
I love this place, sorry it moved out of downtown but it's still got the "been there forever" vibe. Lots of great used cameras and lenses and other random vintage camera gear. Film, film processing, camera repair, all the service with a great attitude. Ask for Gregg the owner he'll set you up.
