I had a great experience today at DexaFit Stony Brook! All the staff members were very kind and attentive. They took their time to explain things as we went through each test - which for me, was the Dexa scan, RMR, and bloodwork. I also really appreciate how they all spoke factually and without judgment. Weight loss can be a tricky and sensitive subject for some, but I never felt uncomfortable talking about it in their presence. Rob and Frank were great, got my dexascan, RMR and v02 max all in one shot - tests were a reasonable price , results were printed out and explained to me, great experience

I purchased a 3-test package (2 DEXA scans and 1 RMR test) and had both the DEXA and RMR done. Unfortunately, I was told my RMR results were likely inaccurate due to being “nervous” during the test. Which, probably was the case, because it was my first RMR test and I did not know what to expect, so even though I thought I was relaxed, the machine interpreted it as nervousness. I had a great experience getting a Dexa scan and RMR test at DexaFit Stony Brook. Frank was very nice and professional. Making the appointment online couldn’t have been easier. I arrived a little early on the day of my scan and they took me in right away. Both procedures were thoroughly explained and were simple to complete. The results were available right away and explained. They have an app that your results get uploaded to, so you can refer to them at anytime. I take the in body scan weekly and wanted a clearer picture of my body composition. I got different numbers as far as body fat percentage. The dex a fit says I'm 19% but in body says I'm 28%. Ironically I have the same amount of weight to lose on both scales. 38 lbs. From optimal. I have been 500 lbs. Now at 240 I am super conscious and seeking the best results possible.
