We just completed the purchase of a new Bennington from Dewitt Marine. This entire process started for us last August and we took delivery on Saturday. Koren worked with us on available layouts, options, colors and pricing. She helped us with trade-in pricing. Every phone call or email was responded to promptly and professionally. Could not be happier. Now the weather just needs to cooperate!
We were charged an extra $500 for a dent that was caused by waves that were out of our control. There was a previous dent in the boat when we rented it and when we asked if the previous person had to pay for that dent they stated yes that they do not have insurance for damages. The previous dent had been charged to the customer but had not been fixed and we were now charged for a dent that they stated would not get fixed until the season was over. TERRIBLE experience. upon arrival the lady checking us in had us take note of everything wrong with the boat, so we did. it was a terribly windy day so they told us if we came back early we could get a half day rate, so that's what we did. upon arrival back to the marina the ladies were rude and not helpful at all.. said they sent us a message to come back because of the wind, we were already on our way.. we get back and they took the entire deposit because of a dent that was made by the wind. 10/10 wouldn't use them again.
Horrible experience with Dewitt Marine. They two ladies we dealt with were not very friendly. They had us write down all of the damage on the pontoon before we left. When we came back for a half day because it was so windy and wavy, they immediately pointed out a “dent” on the front of the boat (which we wrote down) before we even docked. Charged us $500 for it and said they wouldn’t fix it until the end of the season and it could be more money. Had a bad experience with this boat rental. The last time I rented from here I was Furious. They claimed We damaged the outboard From the waves being so big from the storm. Before we even rented to the boat we had to state where there was dents on it and we wrote that there was a small dent on the same corner. When we returned the boat they said it was not that dent it was a new one. You could not even notice the dent unless you were totally looking for it. Horrible experience! the staff, the two women who ran the front desk( one being the manager) , so unfriendly and unpleasant, would never recommend this marine to anyone. They sent us out in 25 mph winds being inexperienced drivers, had a 2 inch crease on the front of boat, which they charged me $500.00 for. (Which I wrote they there was already an indent right where the dent was before we left but wasn’t specific enough, very crooked) Definitely would not recommend to do do business with them!
