After reviewing Devonshire Veterinary Clinic's new Meet the team page, I realize a mistake I made in identifying the staff involved in the deceptive and corrupt measures that were taken by Smiley and his team on this date, 6/27/23. I was mislead by the statement of the first animal assistant, now, veterinary assistant; After my first protest of concern for Ginger not being well, and her first collapse, she stated she was going to get the Medical Office Manager. The person who came on seen was in fact just another animal/vet ... read more
My recent post mentioned the staff 's titles of the employees who, in alliance with Dr. Aaron Smiley DVM, actively/physically and inactively participated in the attempted removal of a critically compromised animal away from the Devonshire Veterinary Clinic. To clarify titles I have used in my recent post, which were the titles being used as per staff listings on 6/27/23. The title changes as can be seen on Devonshire Veterinary Clinic " Meet the team" page are as follows: The Medical Office Manager is now titled--Hospital M... read more

On 8/1/23 I posted a review to Dr Aaron Smiley @ Devonshire Veterinary Clinic: Smiley, Aaron DVM, Chief of Staff etc., The message was written simply to make it easy for Smiley to understand, it was quickly deleted/removed.
On 6/27/23 not only did I have to process the unexpected death of my beautiful, and loving, Labrador Retriever, I had to witness the unconscionable, unethical behaviors and actions of Dr. Aaron Smiley DVM Chief of Staff, and his Medical Office Manager, as well as the animal attendant who was assisting them in removing an animal that was dying, and within minutes of being brought out to me did in fact, collapse for the final and last time, and fade away into unresponsiveness, and unconsciousness. I watched as the 2 staff memb... read more
I made the decision to post some of the events that occurred on 6/27/23 following Ginger's spay surgery done by Dr. Aaron Smiley DVM, that resulted in the death of my beloved and beautiful Laboratory Retriever. But only after I spoke to the Indiana Attorney General Office. I requested confirmation that my complaint against Smiley, his staff and the Devonshire veterinary clinic employees who were aware of her condition had been received. my complaint had been logged in and filed. I was informed that it could take 30 to 60 day... read more
When left untreated, shock normally results in death. Early recognition, diagnosis of underlying cause, aggressive treatment, and ongoing monitoring are essential (HUMAN, WARM BLOODED MONITORING) are essential for a good outcome. I should not have been placed in a situation where I had to choose an undesirable monitoring system , especially with Ginger condition being critical, telehealth camera monitoring, over an in person Veterinarian, or medically trained clinician. This should have without thought to themselves, D... read more

I recognize that my Nursing experience is in caring for humans, however, a brain is a brain, a heart is a heart, and circulating, oxygenated blood, and their organ systems serve the same purpose All function to support and give life, to human and animal alike. It was stated to me that there is a difference between my knowledge of the human anatomy and the anatomy of an animal.
