Do not go there. Was discharged this morning. Dr. Mayes wrote on my prescription for Trazadone which I took 1 night, then went to Vistaril. Now I have to wait two days till I see my psychiatrist to get back on it. Food is not fit for a dog. 30 mins to eat and the place was ice cold. I came home with a lousy head cold. Staff didn't care. Didn't get meds one night. Wish I could stop payment. Go to Seven Hills or Montevista.
Weak communications on weekend admits. No updates. callbacks are not followed through. This is just my first impressions. Will update on Monday.
Please do not go to Desert Parkway. I had a seizure and hallucinated because of the seizure and it lasted for a few hours and because of the hallucinations I was sent to Desert Parkway. They kept me there for 2 weeks for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The staff were mostly nice but Dr. Singh is not a good Dr. He doesn't come and see his patients till late at night and sometimes he doesn't come in at all. 5-star care for sure. You can't ask for better. Definitely the best in Las Vegas. Please check them out.
This place is so much better than the other hospitals in Vegas. They actually focus on real treatment and keep you busy in groups. I can't say enough great things about how they helped me get better. The doctor actually listened to me and helped me understand my illness, and my social worker really cared about helping me get stable. Truly amazing place to find hope and help!
My family had the best experience here compared to the other hospitals in Las Vegas. We were lost until we found Desert Parkway. The staff and doctors took very good care of us. They were very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who wants the best treatment.
Very unprofessional: Doctors, nurses, staff are rude, will not co operate with family members trying get information on a loved one. They tell you to call then complain because you did call the patient. Refuse to have visiting hours more than 3 times a week. Then want family to interact more but won't let you see them but 3 times a week maybe for 20 minutes. Doctor refuses to talk with family so you do not know what is going on or how family can help.
