My mother lived at Desert Joy Assisted living for 6 years after touring several others she loved this care home as it was beautiful and very homely and the family so very caring that are truly loving and compassionate with their patients. It’s like a home environment and not a hospital and Mom loved Monica and she and her husband Cory were so very caring they were like family. My grandparents lived at Desert Joy for nearly 11 years. They had previously been in an assisted living facility before moving into Desert Joy. There is no place better than "Monica's"- Desert Joy Assisted Living. My grandparents were treated like family and Monica and her family became part of our family. I have worked in long term care, sub acute, specialty hospitals and assisted living facilities for over 40 years. I’ve worked with for profit, not for profit , large chain and small chain care companies in six different states. When my Mom needed extra ended care, we looked at other facilities in the Peoria, Az area, but Mom wanted to go to Desert Joys.
