Our original Public House has been a vibrant fixture of the downtown Bend, Oregon scene since 1988. Not only were our very first beers brewed here - think Black Butte Porter and Jubelale - but we quickly became a gathering spot for locals and visitors alike. Great atmosphere and great food. They let you try sample of the beer before you decide which one you wish to drink fully. The staff are friendly and upfront and will answer any questions you have.

Gary took the risk in 1988. First brew pub in Bend. I was there with a bunch of us laid off loggers and construction workers. We used to get rowdy and cut off. Good Times. Now Deschutes is huge.
