We have been a patient of Dr. Soong for a few years now and have been very pleased with him and his team. Our kiddo feels as if Dr. Soong listens to their concerns and has been willing to work through issues and find proper balance with care plans. As a parent, I appreciate that as my child has grown from a small kid to a teen learning to advocate for themselves that Dr. Soong has met our child where they are at developmentally at every step.
Good doctor for well child checks and compliant parents. If you need a vaccine exemption - go elsewhere unless you want to be side eyed and peer pressured. Online also states he manages ADHD, he infact does not and we have been denied 3 times after asking for help from him and have been told to go elsewhere as he doesn’t “treat or diagnose” the VM Bio for him on the website is incredibly misleading. We are currently searching for a new provider.
I don't typically write reviews. But after I saw Dr Soong got a few negative reviews recently I was shocked. First of all, it has been SO LONG since I have taken my children to a pediatrician, where the doctor actually listened to their symptoms and took the time to help me understand things from the medical point of view as well. Terrible experience. I agree with the other comment - zero stars. Avoid this doctor. We went in for a regular annual check up. I was in the room the entire time. Mr. Soong's office billed us for all these extra charges above a normal office visit. I have never seen a bill come after a regular annual check up before. Not sure if Derrick Soong or Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is to blame but I consider this to be stealing. I am disputing the charges because this is WRONG. Zero Stars. This doctor missed several important things for my child (which endangered them) and then wrote completely incorrect notes on a number of occasions.
