Twice Dr Shah missed skin cancers that the surgeon removed after I was referred after a positive biopsy.About a year ago I had a biopsy on an area that was positive. I was never notified.the office had somehow transposed the numbers on my cellphone and my landline.No email,no letter.I didn't learn about it until my 6 month follow up.Now the surgeon has had to remove a larger chunk of my nose because the cancer had a extra 6 months to grow larger.
I've seen both Dr Hitchins & Dr Shah and they are equally exceptional in their field. I was misdiagnosed with a skin condition by multiple dermatologists over my lifetime and they caught it and began the correct treatment on appt #1!
First time going, made an appointment. Had them run my insurance and they said it would be covered. Went in for mole removal, extremely long wait , only to be seen by an NP who measured 2 moles. Said one “looked good” & then used lidocaine to numb the other only to say she spoke to the Dr and he said they can’t do it because I’m pregnant. At check out I was then charged $100 for literally nothing. Measuring 2 moles and telling me to come back in a couple months. I will not be back.
I have taken both myself and my son here and have had nothing but great experiences. Dr. Shah treated my autistic son with patience and dignity as he worked to address a reoccurring issue. His staff was available for questions and concerns after our office visit, which helped ease my mind. The waiting times felt reasonable and I felt like the staff acted in a professional manner. Dr Hitchins and her team are incredible! Not to mention their office is so family friendly- my kids even enjoy going to the Dermatology Center!
