Bring the kids and see every exhibit then take the tour followed by the movie. What an experience.
Today I chaperoned my son’s field trip and was very impressed with the KY Derby Museum Experience. The interactive exhibits were very informative and engaging for the students. In addition, there were so many artifacts and historical content that I’d love to revisit as an adult solo. ❤️#ScarlettSuggests... 👍🏻ENJOY a day at the races or visit on a quiet day to appreciate Churchill Downs history. ⭐️ MUSEUM: This Museum was terrific. Many interactive displays. Nice cafe and gift shop. 🐎 TOUR: I chose the “behind the scenes” tour of the stables area. The $15 extra fee is worth it! Get a glimpse of the horse racing lifestyle ... gain appreciation for the team of hard working dedicated people for each horse and trainer. My tour guide, Barry has been coming to Churchill Downs since his childhood. He was info... read more
The tours are a little pricey so we stuck to the "free" one included with the admission. It was still a great tour, though short, and our guide was great. The museum itself is pretty cool and we loved the interactive exhibits.
This was amazing, it gives you a great understanding of the long history of the sport and it’s rich heritage.
We loved the golf cart tour with Becky! This is looking through the starting date to the twin spires.
the last time that I visited Kentucky Derby Museum was in 1988 with my parents the walking tour of Churchill Downs was excellent so was the Kentucky Derby Museum and the docent was very good too and the different displays and the movie The Greatest Race was awesome.
My father, son and I went on the Behind the Scenes Walking tour with a guide named Barry. He was phenomenal! You could really feel his love for racing, Churchill Downs, and especially the Kentucky Derby! This excursion really made the trip for us!
The museum and tour were awesome! Well worth the time and cost.
