This is a review long overdue. We left Dr. Malecz’s practice because my child ended up losing 4 front teeth. He tried filling my son’s cavities while his staff tried to pin the child. And the filling would eventually come off within a few days. It was very traumatic for him. Finally the teeth got infected and needed to be pulled out. Two other doctors told us this could have been fixed with dental crowns. He never gave us that option or try to explain anything to us. He could have referred us to some other place if he didn’t... read more

We left this office because our child was pinned down by the nurses and him to do a filling, which freaks my child out even more. He didn’t finish the filling and my son ended up with an infection. We came back and he yanked both front tooth without trying to explain why until I asked for details. He seems to be easily frustrated with children, and it took me 2 years to leave this comment because how he is with his patients still bothers me. If you no longer have the passion to treat then just retire and enjoy life.

8 or so years later and I still have a traumatic fear of dentists directly correlated with my experience here. Dr. Malecz is not sensitive to patients experience or needs. One time, he extracted 6 of my teeth instead of the 2 that I was told were going to be pulled. Another time, he gave me a shot of Novocain for 4 teeth I was having extracted and did not wait for the Novocain to set (as mandated for use) and ended up pulling my teeth straight away. 4 teeth with essentially no Novocain?.

My children absolutely love their visits here. Dr. Rick and Dr. Jennifer are wonderful as are the girls on the staff who have all been there many years.

Everyone in this office is always efficient and friendly and we feel very confident of Dr. Malecz's capabilities and desire to provide the very best care for our son. Warmly recommended.

Malecz is not sensitive to pain of child or concerns of parent. After a painful tooth extraction, Malecz left the room immediately without consideration of child or parent. Assistant told child if you don't swallow saliva (after numbing procedure) you can not go home adding to child's fear. Malecz does not explain what he is going to do or what exactly is going to be done for child. Malecz not involve parent in treatment planning.
