Changing my review from a few years ago. I loved this place and wanted badly to birth here with my last after 2 hospital births! Unfortunately the midwife at the time made me VERY uneasy..so at 32 weeks at switched. Its my understanding she no longer works here - and that is the biggest improvement this place could have made.

I write this under my husband's account. I attended this practice two years ago for my pregnancy and birth. My experience seemed wonderful, even after giving birth in the hospital after my transfer. But after two years of reflection and re-education, Ill just say that birthing centers live under the same guise and restrictions and limitations of the health care industry. It’s literally impossible to get ahold of anyone at this facility. I am always put straight to voicemail and my emails are ignored. I was finally able to get a well woman exam scheduled via email, but it took days for a response. My appointment was scheduled about a month out. Well, unfortunately, my appointment happened to land when we had the 3 day snow storm. I called 2 days prior to reschedule my appointment, and no one answered the phone. I left a voicemail. No one called me back. I sent an email as well that I wanted t... read more

Like so many others, I can't express how thankful I am for the incredible women at DCBW. I had a wonderful experience with each of the midwives and nurses throughout my pregnancy. Dr. Morgan and nurse Jessica delivered my baby last May, and they both went so far above and beyond in helping me through labor, delivery, and aftercare for my daughter and I. She is my first child, and after hearing about the experiences my friends and sister have had with both natural and medicated births in hospital settings, where they had to f... read more

I found this birthing center over a year before becoming pregnant with our first child and knew immediately that I wanted to come here for our pregnancy care. If you are looking for a place where you can build a personal relationship with your medical provider, have a unique birthing experience tailored to your wants rather than just being pushed through the assembly line of hospital births, and are looking for a more mindful and holistic approach to childbirth, then this is the right place for you. In the medical world this... read more
