I was looking for a new dentist, and booked an appointment for a cleaning. Got X-rays done, and dentist made some recommendations. I’m in the middle of orthodontic treatment, so we agreed we would do what he recommended once I was done with that, since there was no urgency to get it done right away. Had gone to Dr Almufti a couple years ago and because they wanted to take more exrays just 6 months after initial visit, they had already taken exrays, I decided not to continue going there. Too many exrays can be harmful. This visit, dental assistant said there's more radiation in our cell phones. Not true. Dental exrays have IONIZING radiation which can alter DNA, and too many exrays can cause cancer. DNA can repair itself though. Cell phones have NON-IONIZING radiation and it causes molecules to vibrate and heat up. Not l... read more
I’m starting to think this establishment accepts Medicaid just to attract patients but once patients are there the “Dentists” give you a run around of why work can’t be done and you can be sitting there in excruciating pain with an infection and they’ll send you off without a care in the world 😏 Thank God I decided to go for a second opinion at another facility and that dentist didn’t hesitate and had my problem tooth out in less than 5 minutes.
