We ordered supper like we have many times before, but this visit fell short. Two meals took much longer than usual, and when they arrived the vegetables were refrigerator-cold. The waiter took the plates back to be fixed. When they returned, the chicken was fine, but the sides were mushy from reheating. Our sodas were flat—just carbonated water. We went for Christmas Dinner and they were just so under staffed. So Sad it could have been Most Excellent! But short staffed and very hectic atmosphere...
We stopped to get breakfast at Denny's on Christmas day and Drew was our server. He was great, courteous, funny and we just plain loved the interaction we had with him. While there he found out we were truck drivers and brought us gift bags from a wonderful couple named Sue & Jerry who thank truck drivers for our service at Christmas time. I want to say thank you to Drew for really making me laugh and for the great service and Sue & Jerry for their thoughtfulness of the gift bags it has made my Christmas!
