On Saturday, September 16th my daughter and I, along with three 5 year olds, arrived at Demarest Farms at 2:00 p.m. There were posted signs that the parking lot was full, however, there were attendants handing out written driving directions to a parking lot located about 3 miles away. Upon our arrival, we boarded a school bus which took us back to the farm. After we paid our fee we were directed across the street to board a trailer for the hay ride. Its close to home and kids like the hayride, but way too expensive. After paying $7 per person and $10 for a bag of apples is not really affordable to us. So we paid $40 for a bag of apples I could have gotten for maybe $6 total. We only go once a year only because its not something I want to spend lots of money and not value. Dont know if we will come again
My kids absolutely loved it and the place is huge. We had no issues with the parking or waiting in any lines everything went smoothly. My daughter has been bugging us to take her apple picking and I'm glad we decided to take her. The experience we had as a family our kids will remember forever. The price is worth it, the Apple trees were gorgeous and the amount of fun they offered the children was perfect. Took my 5 yr old son and he absolutely loved it! The play areas are nice & the tractor ride was exciting for him. The bag u get holds alot of apples. Thr donuts are so fresh & delicious. Well worth the $17.
This new parking situation was horrible. We had to drive mikes out of the way, and turned down a wrong street due to the confusion in the directions. Then when we got to the lot, the line was so long, we left. Last year we came at the same time, and we just parked in the on site lot without a problem. Unfortunately we will be finding another place to pick our apples.
I have always enjoyed Damarest Farms since me and my daughter was introduced to the farm from her preschool when she was 2 years old. Now she is 9 years old. Me and get enjoy from the hayride to the Apple and pumpkin picking. I would recommend this place to everyone that inquire about the farm.
