In 1827, at the beginning of New York City's evolution as the financial center of the world, the genesis of what would become a world-renowned culinary institution, Delmonico's Restaurant, was set. We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary at Delmonico's, on our actual anniversary date of Saturday, October 29, 2016. The restaurant was exceedingly warm and inviting, our request for a secluded table was happily honored, our steaks were superb, and our waiter, David, couldn't have been more welcoming, accommodating, and knowledgeable...his splendid service included an interesting and much-appreciated history lesson about America's first restaurant. Wonderful food and service in a historic setting. Large client dinner and we were well taken care of by staff. Wonderful seafood appetizer platters and bacon. Great steaks and wonderful Baked Alaska for dessert.
