As a child I had a traumatic experience having one of my molars pulled. Since that time, I get uneasy and tense even though it's been a lifetime ago. So when I told Dr. Delmond of my discomfort, he told me to relax my shoulders, breathe deeply, and touched around my chin or somewhere close by to distract my attention away from the coming injection to numb me for the filling.
