The Grace Grego Maxwell Mental Health Unit at Dell Children's Medical Center, provides care for patients ages 6-17 who may be in crisis due to mental health concerns. Treatment takes place in our 24-bed inpatient hospital. Our interdisciplinary treatment team provides immediate evaluation, 24-hour nursing and psychiatric care, medication as needed and a plan for future outpatient treatment. The facility is located on the south side of the campus, just outside of the hospital south exit, close to Philomena street.

Yall are amazing, legit coming from a patient yall are really good people and yall have really good food with a bunch of options. One thing that yall do kind of need to work on is all the hippa stuff tho. I get that it can be triggering but it makes it a little easier to be able to communicate to other patients instead of talking to people who are like you instead of people that are medical professionals. Coming from someone who has previously visited Cross Creek, this place was fantastic. The staff are well-trained, the food is good, there are activities throughout the day, the setting is beautiful, and the other patients are great. I could go on. While mental healthcare still has a long way to improve, this place is one of, if not the best, options for it. 5/5 stars, give Dylan a raise.
I can honestly say this was truly an eye opener For me and my daughter, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience that you guys gave me for the last five days. I was stress-free knowing that my daughter was getting the help in the resources that she needed. This place was an answer to prayer. We knew our son needed inpatient treatment and did a lot of research before bringing him in. It was not easy, but for the situation we were in, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The doctors, nurses, and social workers constantly communicated with us and were always available to answer our questions.
