Picked up on an early case of leukimia, While still treatable by specialist!!
Good experiences with 2 annual appointments in which all my concerns were fully addressed. Last year, I had a few issues and she gave me two referrals. I wasn't able to make either of them due to working away from Cape Coral for a period of time. Her demeanor was cordial and respectful yet professional, both times. I am concerned I have ovarian cancer. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment and canceled for a now show. I've been waiting for months for an appointment. Even though I had see her NP, I was considered a 'transfer.' Read the other reviews and go to a different pcp.
I called in to make an appointment in mid May for a shoulder issue I am having. I was told that Dr. Delight no longer wanted to see me as a patient because of a previous balance on my account. I wanted to reach out to Dr. Delight to explain the strange circumstances that caused this temporary delinquency. Went in to see her was afraid I was having ectopic pregnancy. She said I was overreacting and hormonal. Ended up in the emergency room for tubal ligation because she neglected to help me!!!!
Dr. Delight is the antithesis of her last name...period. She is a pompous and disrespectful Dr who has completely lost sight of the FACT that the patient is her employER not employee. She aggressively chewed me out over video because her office failed to schedule me for a periodic medication review. No change in my health whatsoever...but they need to bill you and collect that $$ co-pay for doing nothing. I responded kindly and told her I wasn't aware and will remember from now on. I have been to her twice for annual exams and I feel that she didn't listen to my overall medical concerns. She literally had no suggestions for me other than to lose weight. I told her I was struggling with insomnia, eczema, and restless legs that I wanted some advice or a solution for. The solution/advice was to lose weight.
I’m frankly a bit surprised by some of these low ratings & the reasons for them. People say Dr. Delight is unknowledgeable, disrespectful, rude, too rushed, or not compassionate. I agree that she’s blunt & to the point. But I think she does care & is very thorough. If I go to the ER, her office or she calls me to follow up with my status. If I see a specialist, she discusses the treatment plan.
