It's surprising to see such a low rating as we are in our third year of leasing here at building 99 and it has been wonderful. Any minor maintenance issues we've had have been solved promptly. Antoinette is always responsive to our emails. While we were hesitant initially about the location, we love how it's the complex is like its own little community in the middle of Rensselaer. Edit: 100 building 3 years there. First apartment. Overall, very satisfied. More pros than cons. Overall, it's a beautiful apartment in ideal location, I'd say. Comfortable with a few quirks. Rude employees
I wouldn’t personally recommend this property to new tenants. The property manager came across as inexperienced and unprofessional—lacking both knowledge and flexibility. Communication was poor; I was often left with more questions than answers. My application was denied due to a minor credit report error, which I promptly corrected and provided documentation for. We had an okay experience at DeLaet’s. We lived in the newer building (99 New Broadway) for 2 years. Most of our issues were with one bad neighbor and that is a primary reason we moved. Pros: Responsive property manager (Antoinette), low electricity bills, gym was adequate and rarely crowded, clean common areas Cons: HVAC issues for about a year, upstairs neighbors let dogs urinate on their balcony, which dripped onto ours, barking dogs, consistent weed smell despite being a non-smoking building, trains could be a little noi... read more
