Fabulous location, motel needs updating. Room 230 needs shower drain cleaned out. Backed up while I stayed there just a few days ago. Bed is not very comfortable. Room needs updating. Shower tile is cracked all away across the curb. Beautiful spot right on the beach.
Best location in Del Mar! Right on the sand. Large rooms but no bathtubs and an older Motel, however, wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Del Mar Motel on the beach is our go to place when we take the grandkids. It is very kid friendly, on the beach, and has outdoor shower along with grills to use. We like to eat dinner at the Poseidon next door with a beautiful sunset dinner then back to the motel for smores on the grill. We take the kids 3 times a year. Our home on the beach away from home.
The perfect affordable on the beach motel! With fancy restaurants with happy hour attached so no reason to ever leave! We will be back again soon!
