Love this quaint hotel, beautiful balcony over looking the ocean. Will definitely be back when it’s summer. Great price for a very clean and nice room in Del Mar.
Room itself was nice but someone installed the mini split directly above one of the two beds. So, if you've ever wondered what it's like to roast in an oven this hotel can make that happen. And the temp controls didn't work as I discovered in the middle of the night with my face burning.
Generally speaking a very nice hotel in a good location. Access to the beach is within 30 minutes walk and the beach is stunning. While the room was well insulated against outdoor noise and you couldn't hear any noise caused by the traffic, indoors it was a different story. The room's door was not insulated at all. You heard all the noise from the ice cube machine, the maintenance room, the aircon in the hallway and sleeping even with earplugs was difficult. We'd been situated on the ground floor (= 1st floor in the US).
Service is so lovely!!! I spoke with Tim at the front reception and he was so kind and helpful - allowed me to get an easy early check in since my room was available. Location is gorgeous and in the heart of Del Mar. 100% would recommend
