I reached out to Del-Air for a simple maintenance service on my AC unit, and it turned into an awful experience. On their first visit, the technician told me I needed a new thermostat and immediately charged me $625 for it. I was shocked but trusted their “expert” opinion. Later I found out they had removed my Nest thermostat, which costs about $300, and replaced it with a cheap thermostat that sells for around $75 on Amazon.
