Had a great experience with Andrew at Dekalb Marine. I'm a first-time motorboat owner and they were very patient with me. I bought an old boat with an old engine and they gave me the ins-and-outs of the quirks that come with that kind of set up. Beside the fact that they are right down the road from me - and INTOWN! - they were great to work with and got me in quickly for a new purchase inspection. Hoping to get out on the water and have some fun this spring!
"If your outboard is sick they have no problem doing the Doctor Kevorkian to your outboard motor. Then act as though they're doing you a favor for charging you for the parts and labor that they put on your motor that does not repair the problem.
PJ and Andrew are very friendly and helpful. They are carrying on the torch at a long running great marine shop. Highly recommend going to them for your boating needs.
Very friendly people who know a lot about boats. I explained to them what was going on with my 2 stroke motor and they knew exactly what i needed. Needless to say im fishing today! Thanks!!!

One of the few mom and pops businesses left and I experienced the genuine customer service that's lacking these days. From the time you walk in, to the time Andy spent on the phone explaining the needs and cost for repairs on my boat, 100% professional in and out! Thank you guys very much. To anyone inquiring, take advantage of the experience and moral here. Because truly it's hard to find nowadays. I'd do it over and over again for all my boat needs.
Andy and his wife are the best. They fixed my 1985 glassstream bass boat and they are the sweetest and very smart when to fixing boats. No one but them can work any boat i got or buy!!!!
