Very disappointed and frustrated with the lack of tact and understanding from the staff here. We specifically made the 45 minute drive from home to visit one of a vanishingly small number of stores with audio demo rooms. We had a better experience at what's left of Magnolia inside the Best Buy in Bellevue than we did at Definitive. I'm disappointed that I feel I need to leave this review given how much I appreciate good audio, but I left feeling absolutely belittled and dismissed. Never having been to this store before, and being new to the Seattle area, I entered with a goal to find a home theater solution for an upcoming project. The salesman who greeted me asked the right questions, but when it came to budget, we had some disagreements on what could be achieved. This is a special type of place. You can tell from the moment you walk through the door that you’re in rarified air. While I consider myself an audiophile and general nerd for that sort of thing, when I arrived to demo some amps with a local speaker maker (something he made arrangements for) I was presented with a quiet room and a perfect A/B test environment. I stopped by their Bellevue store last year to look at some speakers I had considered buying through a well respected online retailer. I’m glad I went to Definitive first; this is a fantastic place. The sales team is passionate about great audio and they offer a no pressure sales environment; they value customer satisfaction over a quick sale.
