My son got to go fishing right off the dock. We had so much fun. Got to see lots of deer and rabbits. My son loves loves loves turtles, he got to see lots of them and play with a couple. Very nice staff.

Anyone looking for somewhere to get away, I highly recommend Deer lake cabins!!! Probably the best place ever and not only did the kids have a blast but we did too! All of the staff was so amazing. Couldn't have been a better trip & can't wait to go back!! Already planning our next trip.

We stayed in The Rambling Rose and enjoyed every minute. The escape adventures were fun.
We loved our little get away for a couple of days in the Cedar Loft cabin. We arrived at around midnight and had a fun time finding the place and our cabin but the map and directions they gave us were great! I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when I woke up and the horses were RIGHT OUTSIDE our door!! What a great way to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee. Our three year old slept great in the room with two twin beds and the space was just perfect for us and our dog (who loved the animals and even got licked by a sheep). ... read more
My family and I had an amazing time. We drove the long 5.5 hours from Houston to the resort and believe it was well worth it. Great customer service and definitely a get a way. The trails were fun and the scenery was beautiful. Wish there was more beach area but other than that it was good. Thanks Deer Lake Cabins.

My wife and son and I stayed at Deer Lake Cabins for the very first time just this past week, and we had a wonderful, relaxing visit. The ranch and surrounding area is beautiful, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The staff we interacted with were all very polite and friendly, and we had zero issues with anything. We even took our own UTV along with us, and we thoroughly enjoyed cruising around the various trails through the countryside, splashing through a few mud puddles and making numerous stops for our son... read more

This is a really serene place to come to right in the heart of the piney woods. I caught my first bass here! The cabins are always very clean and nicely put together. The trails for mule riding are awesome and they go pretty far too! The horse barn is definitely my favorite spot to be. There are always babies being born around spring break time and it's so cute to watch them frolick around with their moms!! Deer lake is a great place!
