There is a strange, surreal feel here, like it has been untouched by time for years on end. You are always sure to have a memorable experience here. The regular crowd is eclectic and very friendly. Best dive in Texas! Beware of the regulars, they are protective of this place.
If one was to describe a dive bar, all you would need to do is take a picture of a Deep Eddy’s. Cold beer, great jukebox, eclectic crowd. It’s perfect.

Used to go there in 19777 and 1978. We were promoting Blatz and Mickeys beer into the Austin area. It had the best jukebox in Austin and the best air conditioning and the coldest beer. It was like being in a cave. I just moved back to Austin and was delighted to see it was still open.
