She was hired for drapery, furniture and bedding. The workmanship of the draperies is below average, and expensive. Not a good combo. We also have had problems with upholstery, I.e., slow, and rework is already needed within 6 months. Yes, Janine has brought 3 different people in to look at drapes 5 times. However, the drapes still don't hang correctly (see photo). I am going to go to shutters, because, they are an eyesore. Cha-ching.

At The Decorative Touch we truly want our clients to be happy. We did have a drapery treatment for Ms. Gillis where the fabric had stretched excessively. We did replace that drapery at no charge to her. When we left the job, she told us she was completely happy with all that we had done... This is the first I have heard that she has an issue on an upholstered piece, and I have reached out to her to find out how we can help.
Janine has helped us with several projects at our home. We have been very happy with everything she has done. She was professional, stayed within our budget and we enjoyed the time we spent with her. We are happy to recommend her to our family and friends. Jan

I want everyone to know that I LOVE my new kitchen !! Janine Terstriep has great vision. My kitchen is unbelievable. Not only beautiful, but perfect in every way. I visited with several companies before I found Janine. I am so happy that I decided to let her do her magic! I knew she would be awesome and reasonable... she even came in under budget!
Janine was recommended by our builder on a commercial job. I do believe Janine has good design skills and she definitely facilitates your decision making process. Janine charges by the hour for her design work which of course is understandable since every client encounter may not result in a sale. However, I was very disappointed to have extended appointments choosing fabrics for chairs that were completely out of our budget. Janine is awesome! She has a great eye for color and design. What is really cool is that she has become the deciding vote between my wife and I. Whenever we can't decide what to do with a color or piece of furniture, we have defaulted to letting Janine decide since we trust and respect her so much.
