Took 3 months to get an estimate then it was way over budget. He kept our deposit and didn’t do any services. We went out on our own and got the whole thing done in a couple of weeks at a fraction of his estimate.
Complete rip off artist. Given deposit of $4,000 - cones back with over priced idea and than won’t refund any money. Worst business man ever. Currently going through court process to sue him.

I hired Donald Tatera to transform my home because from our first couple of meetings, I could tell he was a man of integrity. I had such confidence in him and Team Tatera, I basically left all the decisions to them. I stayed out of there way and let the professionals take care of my home. Well, it turned out, awesome. It's just like what you see on television with the home make overs, the before and after was simply, amazing. All the rooms and bathrooms are night and day. It's hard to believe, it is the same house.
I have worked with Donald Tatera and Decorating Den for about 5 years. I find him honest, reliable, creative and highly responsive to his clients' needs and wants. If Donald quotes a price you can rely on that as a firm price. The only time I have seen the need for changes in any of his jobs has been when the client makes changes. I had a lifetime guarantee on a Hunter Douglas shade. Dec Den sent it in to HD for repair, but they did not honor the guarantee, saying the part was no longer being manufactured. Through Dec Den I bought a replacement from HD. Dec Den was disappointed that HD did not give me any courtesy discount.
