Tech told me I need to submit my own claim with ICBC since they cannot guarantee it will be covered by my comprehensive insurance. I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem and past customers have gone through the claim process successfully. However, it turns out they are not an ICBC-recognized windshield repair shop. ICBC does not even have a mechanism for filing a claim for a rock chip repair from non-accredited shops such as Deco. Repair looks fine but I'm $100 out of pocket for something that's covered 100% by ICBC.

Got a small rock repaired two years ago this summer. A year later in the following summer I could see maybe some glue filler had come out because the repaired chip was more visible. I brought my vehicle to the same Deco, telling the attendant that it appears to be coming undone. He looked at it with his magnifying monocle and said it’s fine and sent me on my way. This was my first visit to this location, although it’s not the first time we have used DECO for repairs. DECO consistently delivers excellent service with stands all over the Lower Mainland and Edmonton. Over the past few years, we have travelled extensively between Alberta and British Columbia, and our windshield has taken a lot of hits from rocks. DECO has always been there to assist us.
