This place has an old world charm. They provide complimentary breakfast, and you can hang out by the front porch and read, or just chill. The staff is very friendly, and they also are respectful. The rooms and bathroom are clean, and there's also an area to go into a study as well. This is also more cost efficient than a standard hotel, and you feel like you're inside a piece of history when in the building. 100% recommend, even more than a standard hotel.
Great, quaint place to stay. If traveling solo, it is perfect. Clear communication for checking in and out, especially after hours. Will definitely return!
Close to the Summit NJ town center, about a 5-10min walk. There you have nice restaurants and shopping. Our room was on the second floor and was huge. Room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. The AC unit was quiet and kept the room cool. Breakfast was simple but good. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely old home in a great location! Close to restaurants and the summit train station with easy access to NYC. Service was great and rooms are very clean. The breakfast was simple, but it was nice to have a little something to eat in the morning and the coffee was good.
The property is quiet and cozy, just a short walk from the main street of downtown Summit. The porch and garden were lovely to enjoy in the evenings, and the service was also very warm and friendly. The cons: The rooms could use some TLC, and the breakfast was not quite our cup of tea. I was primarily disappointed with the mattress in our room (I believe it was #15). I'm not normally picky about mattresses, but this one was completely sunken and unsupportive. We were rolling into each other all night and could not sleep well... read more
