Great alternative to the chain hotels in the area (that cost twice as much). Blocks away from downtown Summit so there’s a lot of great restaurants and shops nearby but is still quiet and cozy within a very walkable neighborhood. The staff is friendly and helpful. Historic property with cool original Victorian features and rooms that all have their own personality. Was looking for a cute Gilmore Girls Fall getaway and this place was exactly what I was looking for.
The location is great for using NJ Transit and the inn itself is very beautiful. It is an old Victorian home, we stayed on the 3rd floor. Check in was very simple, we arrived late and had keys waiting for us on arrival. However, I don’t know that it was clear upon booking that the bathrooms are shared. It was fine for when we arrived, but could pose an issue for some at a busier time of year. The beds were not very comfortable and made creaking sounds. We had yet another fantastic stay at DeBary Inn. The Nor' Easter put a damper on some of the plans, so it was great to have a super comfy bed for our sleep in on a rainy morning. This visit we didn't rent a car, just used the train to get into the city and it was so close and easy. Luckily, our daughter has one more year of college so we will be able to enjoy more stays at this wonderful and welcoming inn.
A great find. Convenient to NJ Transit into the city. Quiet neighborhood. Charming old inn. Great hosts. Warm, welcoming, affordable, and homey. Nice porch, too. If I come back this way, I'd definitely stay here again.
Was in town to play some shows with my band Vincent Brue & the Long Branch Davidians and had a great stay at The DeBary Inn! Great price, clean room, great location, check in and check out was easy and breakfast was great! Will def stay here again when I'm back in town!
