Went here twice on a 5 day trip. First time was 1 hour wait time for a table. Which was understandable considering it was packed. The 2nd visit was much more enjoyable. A lot of food for you're money for the most part.
Place was great all 3 times. I went there in a 4 day trip.

Love this place. Every time I go to NOLA this is the first stop to eat.
I have been visiting New Orleans for the past 5 years and eating at Deanie's has become a tradition. During our last visit, my cousin was turned away because he had on a tribal print, non-offensive sleeveless shirt. He was turned away yet they provided service to a customer who walked in wearing a bathing suit top. They say this is just one of their rules but it sounds a little sexist to me. This will definitely be my last time dining here.
Management destroyed my excitement to be eat here! Upon arrival coming from 90+ degree weather and after hearing my party talk about how good the food is, our service was rejected because my boyfriend was wearing a tribal, non offensive tank top. Management stated it was just one of the rules.. Men are not allowed to wear tank tops.. While exiting we noticed women wearing bathing suit, attire with mid drift area showing and shirts with backs open. Seems very sexiest to me. This will definitely be my first and last visit here... read more
